Pet Snakes?
I was wondering if anyone can tell me on how i would go about getting a snake. I would prefer a childs python for starters. Do I have to get a licence. I live in Adelaide South Australia. If anyone can give me a really answer for any information regarding pet snakes. It would be greatly appreciated Thankyou
Even if ur outside of Sa or Australia, Could anyone tell me any info about what its like to have a snake as a pet. I feel silly cos no one is answering. Hell just say anything,.. Get two points for it

A Child's Python can be quite aggressive and bite frequently. I wouldn't recommend it to begin with. If you want a python, go for a Royal/Ball Python.
I keep snakes, and they are wonderful pets. I'm not sure on Australia's laws, but you shouldn't need a license to keep harmless snakes like corns and royal pythons. Exotic pets do have strict requirements however so be sure to do your research.

EDIT: I just checked for you, and you will need a Class 1 license to keep a Children's Python.
