How long was the largest snake in the world?

The question was answered by :
Chrisssss :

The longest snake on record was a Reticulated Python (Python reticulatus) witch measured 32.9 ft (good one Paranaja)

The biggest snake on record was a Green Anaconda (Eunectes murinus) witch measured 29.2 ft but was 0.5% heavier and the same again in girth than the Retic. The Anaconda is a semi aquatic snake that spends most of its time in the water so it’s easy for it to carry its Wight.

There as been reports of snake at 40 / 50ft but when the experts have gone to see these snake they have ether been a false or the snake had been eaten by the tribes that had found the snake.

49 ft snake lol
I have no idea why the snake has shrunk," said one keeper when asked about the discrepancy, as the snake lounged on a tree branch inside its cage.
